Transas Navi-Sailor 2400 ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and
Information System) is a powerful real-time navigation system that
integrates official electronic chart data with various types of
positioning and navigation systems, including GPS, radar/ Automatic
Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA) and provides facilities for Voyage data
recording, Route Panning and Monitoring, Search and Rescue
operations and many other vital tasks.
|
IMO Compliance
Navi-Sailor 2400 ECDIS fully complies with the
international standards set up for this type of equipment. Transas
Navi-Sailor 2400 ECDIS became the world's first type approved
Electronic Chart Display and Information System, in October 1999.
Since that time, a second type approval was issued for the Transas
ECDIS by Bureau Veritas in France.

Route Planning
Creating route plan along Your voyage from point of
departure to point of arrival up to 999 WP, also checking route plan
for presence of Navigational danger under the way (safe depth,
isolated danger, etc…). Obtaining route plan table with coordinates
of each WP, distances & courses between WP's total distance of
created route plan.
Route Monitoring
Route monitoring is permanent mode running
concurrently with other operation modes, it produces most important
information for navigator while sailing.
Log Book and Track Storage
Electronic logbook is daily file where navigational and system
events are automatically recorded.
Chart Control (Zoom
Review)
Zoom - displaying the selected chart fragment or the required
sailing area on the NS screen. Review - has double function: Loading
requires charts for viewing by cursor and view electronic chart
fragments not currently displayed.
Multi-Chart Loading (up to
6)
Provides a possibility to display 6 charts of different formats
simultaneously.
Help Function
Obtain help information on work with software
Log Book, Route Printout
Printing of ship's log data during selected interval of time

SAR (Search and Rescue)
This application serves for planning of search and rescue
operations. By just input data of the coordinates and speed of
ownship and coordinates of people in distress you receive a choice
of 3 search patterns (most used in navigation). Those patterns are
represented as route plans with a subsequent WP you have to proceed
while SAR operation
Tides and Tidal Currents Information
Obtain of tides and tidal current information all rounds the world.
Tidal currents are displayed (when loaded) on the screen as vectors
showing the current movement and the scale of visual estimation of
current speed, vectors changing in a real or predicted time.
|

Playback
Replays for viewing recorded situation from 24 - hour
archive files, the ownship's and targets position and their motion
vectors, information on the ownship and radar targets, raw radar
picture, date and time of situation, setting the playback speed
scale. In addition printout ship's logbook, printouts voyage route
plan, to printout the voyage schedule, to record the screen graphic
copy.
Marker/ERBL
Electronic Range and Bearing line (ERBL) gives possibility to
obtaining coordinates, bearing, opposite bearing, distance, CPA,
TCPA to the desired target

Navigational Alarms
There are numerous of alarms to provide safety of navigation and
convenient sailing for navigators.
Anti-Grounding Alarms
Available only with vector charts. Provides an audio alarm with
appropriate warning message.
Interface capabilities
1st Position Sensor Interface
2nd Position Sensor Interface
ARPA (including 2nd ARPA) Interface
Digitiser Interface (Yeoman)
LEICA Binocular Interface
Echo Sounder Interface
Autopilot (NMEA) Output
Gyrocompass Interface
Speed Log Input
Drift, Wind and Temperature
Climate Information
The climate database includes information on wind and sea and their
changes during the year in discretion of one month. Its shown as
vectors for wind "wind rose" and as line for wave height for the
current month.

Port of Entry Information
Gives information about the ports. Information based on document PUB
150 "World Port Index"
User Chart Editor (7 colour)
Provide access to the function used for work with the graphic editor
for editing user charts (manual updating of the chart) with symbols
used in navigation, also creating you own symbols. With chart editor
it is possible to enter text information on the chart such as:
report points, pilot connection points etc. |

Trial Manoeuvering
Obtaining data for steering to the next route segment as following:
point of taking the required course, time to sail to this point, alarm
that a moment for performing the course altering maneuver has come,
track to the expected maneuver start point and turning circle track for
steering to the next course. When ARPA connected to NS, the navigator is
provided with facility to perform a trail maneuver for avoiding
collision with the other vessels. The data required for the trail
maneuver is entered in the window for the maneuver parameter input.
Navtex Manager
A special application allowing Navtex message to be received and
processed in the real time. Provide user with real time reception and
processing of text messages from Navtex receiver. Automatic processing
extracts the co-ordinates from a text message and displays the position
on the NS screen. Operation is possible with a receiver, which has a
RS232 output for an additional serial printer.
AIS Transponder Interface
The AIS transponder interface enables the connection of the transceiver
equipment of the UAIS SAAB Transponder, working via SAAB SCTT AIS
SWT-001-DD-01 ver.1.6, 2000 data exchange protocol. This permits the
user view targets equipped with SAAB transponders on the electronic
chart screen. The following types of information can be obtained: AIS
target data - latitude, longitude, course over ground, speed over
ground, MMSI Number, Object's identification number (aircraft), UTC date
and time.
Network Software
Network Version for 1-st Slave Station
(ECDIS Only)
Operating as automatic "Backup" to the Master in case of failure.
Connection to all navigational sensors and external devices required for
the operation in Master mode. Receiving all data from Master via
network.
Network Version for 2-nd Slave Station (ECDIS
Only)
Receiving all data from Master via network. Interface with digitizer.
Allows to equalize data on the created and saved routes and user charts.
