The SeaPC Professional takes our standard computer and raises it to yet another level of performance. Building on all the standard techniques used in our other computers, the Pro ups the ante with dual redundant hard drives, higher performance processors and even more standard features. For applications where reliability and sheer power are the requirement.

VEI's Rack Mount system is an essentially like our Mid Tower System only with the convenience of mounting it in a rack system. The "Marinized" computer is mounted on shock absorbers to isolate it from impact and vibration when used with the shock pedestals; cooled by 3 Fans, 1 filtered; Internal adaptors are tied down to restrain them from popping out; and the hardware has been thoroughly tested for Software capability with today's charting programs.

The marine environment is poisonous to computer systems vulnerable to corrosion, heat, humidity, vibration, impacts and voltage fluctuations. Desktop computers, even laptop computers, weren't built to survive such harsh conditions. "Marinized" computers are like "Marinized" engines - a makeshift solution, a few parts changed but nothing essentially different.
