A unique module that
enables the reception
of weather forecasts
up to 5 days in advance
anywhere in the world |
 |
|
Weather Wizard offers advance weather forecasting in addition to a range
of features that enables the user to plane a route with an advanced
weather / route-planning facility |
- Order
and receive forecasts quickly and easily by using communication
facilities (Satellite communication, mobile communication, modem) with
the aid of e-mail.
-
Display weather parameters in a vector form against electronic chart
format.
- View
vessel’s planned route with animated data overlayed onto chart
provided.
- View
forecasts in dynamics.
-
Review Tides and Currents with animations of tidal vectors and heights
-
Remove or add data that you wish to view on forecast

weather forecasts for up to 5 days ahead by using communication
facilities (satellite communication, mobile communication, modem) with
the aid of e-mail via the Internet global network. |

The purpose of the Weather Forecast Manager is to
compile and dispatch orders for weather forecasts. It also receives,
processes and places the forecasts into a database, from where you are
able to select a forecast to use in
PLAY AHEAD and
ROUTE EDITOR
utilities. |
|
|
WEATHER FORECAST MANAGER is split
into three panels: Request,
Delivery
and Forecast. |
 |
| The
Request Panel is used for the
information of weather forecast orders and their dispatch. |
|
| The
Delivery Page is used for receiving
processing of forecasts. |
|
| The
Forecast Page is used for selecting
weather forecasts for their further use in Play Ahead and Route Editor
utilities. |
|

Easy to use |
|
|
Full-colour interface and high quality graphics provide
clear and easy to understand information. |
|
|
Zoom in with no loss of clarity |
'Info' function |
Vectorised
charts allow 50 levels of zooming from 1:200,000,000 to just 1:1,000.
Text and symbols automatically self-adjust, providing instant
high-resolution colour clarity. |
Unique
to vector charts, Info function allows you to 'interrogate' any selected
chart object, (eg. full details of light characteristics or dangerous
shipwrecks). Invaluable information at the click of a mouse. |
AHEAD
Optimum screen display -
instantly see your boat's position on the screen |

ROUTE
Access to sub menu
functions required for passage planning - setting waypoints
etc. |
CURRENT
Allows access to
functions used for providing information on tidal and surface
currents |

Calculate a route taking into account tides, weather and surface
currents ... |
-
Select the best route by calculating ETA taking into account the
effects of tide, weather and surface currents
-
View the vessel's speed loss depending on three variables: tidal
currents, surface currents and weather conditions (Wind,
Wind-induced Waves and Swell)
-
Generate, edit and delete routes
|
 |
|
 |
 |
|
Input the effect of weather variables specific to your boat and course. |
|
- Calculations of wind and
sea induced losses in ship’s speed with regard to its own geometric
parameters
- Input of own ship
parameters for their further use in route calculations, taking into
account weather data in ROUTE EDITOR
program
- Created by user of the
tables of own ship speed losses taking into consideration weather
conditions
|
|
|
|
|

The following capabilities
are implemented
|
1 |
Reception of weather forecasts by using
communication facilities (satellite communication, mobile
communication, modem) with the aid of e-mail via the Internet global
network |
|
2 |
Display of weather parameters in a
vector form against the electronic chart background |
|
3 |
Viewing of the weather forecast in dynamics
(5 days ahead) |
|
4 |
Viewing of the ship's passage route,
weather parameters displayed at the same time |
|
5 |
Calculations of the ship's speed
loss depending on three components:
tidal currents, permanent currents and weather conditions (wind, wind
induced waves and swell) |
