VEI: Policies
Satisfying our customers is a business philosophy that we respect
and
practice, and we will do everything within reason to accomplish
this.
Return Policies:
All returns require prior authorization.
Returns must be authorized by
VEI within the warranty period. Within
the warranty period, we will replace or repair, at our sole
discretion, any product that is deemed defective. After the
warranty period, the product will be repaired or replaced on a
billable basis.
Products purchased under specific government or education
contracts and or regulations may be subject to different return
policies.
All non-defective returns authorized by
VEI are subject to a 15% restocking fee, 30% on custom products such as custom computers and must be
returned within 30 days from date of invoice. Incomplete
returns, unmarked returns missing a (RMA#) or unauthorized
returns may be refused or subject to additional fees.
Customer should accept product deemed to be damaged from the
carrier. In order to facilitate timely resolution with the
carrier, the customer should document the damage with the driver
at the point of delivery in order for
VEI to file a damage claim as well as arrange for
inspection and pick up of the damaged product. Customer must
notify
VEI within 15 days from arrival or our standard
return policy will override any damage claim.
Customer is responsible for shipping charges on RMA returns.
Customer also assumes the risk of loss and damage on all return
shipments.
VEI recommends the use of a reputable freight carrier
who can provide proof of delivery (POD) information upon
request.
VEI also recommends proper packaging and insurance on
your return shipment.
VEI may bill the customer or the customer will
reimburse
VEI for all charges incurred by
VEI for freight-collect shipments or customer
carrier-account shipments that the customer either refuses
shipment on, or refuses to pay.
Need to Return a product:
To return a product at
VEI,
you'll need to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number. This can be done by contacting our service department at
support@vei-systems.com,
or by telephone.
NO returns of any type will be accepted without an RMA.

- Customer name
- Invoice number and date of purchase
- Item serial number(s)
- Nature of the problem
Warranty
Information:
In general, VEI
only
accepts returns on merchandise from select customers within
the warranty period specified. However, VEI
reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond the
warranty period at their discretion. IF the product is accepted
after the warranty period per arrangements with VEI,
a credit
will be issued toward the replacement or purchase of a new item
or product. VEI
will not accept returns from end users unless specific
arrangements have been made by their dealer and VEI.
A FULL REFUND
will be issued only by authorization from management, otherwise
a replacement product or equivalent will be given.
A
CREDIT will be
issued towards future purchases on any product
VEI
offers if a refund or replacement is not authorized.
ORIGINAL SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NOT REFUNDED ON RETURNED ITEMS.
Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to
VEI
on returned items, and VEI
will pay the equivalent (meaning the same as incoming
shipping) charges on the replacement or exchange item(s)
going back. If a different method of shipping to the recipient
is required, then
VEI will charge the difference to the recipients

Errors and Omissions:
VEI
makes every effort to ensure the accuracy
of the information published on our Web site. However, the
documents and graphics published on this site may contain
technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. VEI
makes no representations about the suitability of the
information and graphics presented on this site. All such
documents and graphics are provided "as is" without warranty of
any kind.
I f an error is made and a product is
listed at an incorrect price, VEI
shall maintain the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed
at the incorrect price. If the order has been confirmed and
charged to your credit card, VEI
shall immediately issue a credit in the amount of the incorrect
price.
Note: We do not guarantee VEI
prices listed on other Web sites or price engines.
Terms and Conditions:
Standard Terms of Sale
All sales are subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Customer Acknowledgment.
Customer acknowledges agreement with these Terms of Sale by
the placement of an order to purchase a Product from VEI.
- All Sales Made In Florida.
All sales shall be deemed made in the State of Florida, USA,
regardless of the location of the Customer.
The Customer agrees that any dispute with VEI arising out
of the Customer's purchase from VEI shall be brought by the
Customer exclusively in the state or federal courts situated
in the State of Florida; and the Customer hereby agrees that
such venue is appropriate and that VEI's agreement to sell and
deliver products to the Customer is dependent on this
provision.
- Purchase Price.
(a) Prices and promotions are listed in VEI's catalogs and Web
site, and are subject to change without notice. Prices for
certain governmental, corporate, and institutional customers
may be set forth in a bid or other written agreement between
the parties.
(b) Payment is due before shipment, unless credit terms
have been arranged in advance with VEI's Credit Department. In
such case, payment terms shall be as set forth in the credit
agreement.
(c) VEI collects sales and use taxes for sales made to
residents of the State of Florida. VEI shall not be liable for
handling or customs charges for shipments outside the United
States.
- Shipping Terms.
Shipping terms are: F.O.B. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. VEI will
arrange payment for shipping with the carrier, but such costs
are the responsibility of Customer. Risk of loss is upon
Customer once VEI delivers the Product to the carrier.
Delivery times are estimates only and VEI shall not be liable
for delays.
- Vendor License Agreements.
Customer agrees to abide by all license provisions or end user
agreement imposed by the manufacturer or publisher.
- International.
Products sold by VEI, including equipment and software, may be
exported from the United States only in accordance with the
Export Administration Regulations. Diversion contrary to
United States law is prohibited. Customer warrants and
represents that it is eligible to receive Products under
United States law and agrees to abide by any export or
re-export restrictions imposed by the manufacturer or
publisher.
- LIMITED MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY.
(a) VEI warrants that it has good title to the hardware
Products it sells, and that it has proper authority to license
the software Products it distributes
(b) VEI does not warrant the performance or integrity of
certain Product it sells, but merely passes through to the
Customer whatever end-user warranty the manufacturers or
software publishers provide with their respective Products.
STATEMENTS MADE TO YOU IN THE COURSE OF ANY PRIOR, CURRENT,
OR FUTURE SALE ARE SUBJECT TO THE YEAR 2000 INFORMATION AND
READINESS DISCLOSURE ACT, (___U.S. C.___) (P.L. 105-271). IN
THE CASE OF A DISPUTE, THIS ACT MAY REDUCE YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
REGARDING THE USE OF ANY SUCH STATEMENTS, UNLESS OTHERWISE
SPECIFIED BY YOUR CONTRACT OR TARIFF.
(d) VEI DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
BY LAW, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND USE FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL VEI BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF
PROFIT OR OPPORTUNITY. CUSTOMER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS
STATED IN THE MANUFACTURER'S OR PUBLISHER'S END USER WARRANTY
ACCOMPANYING THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL VEI'S LIABILITY
EXCEED THE REPAIR, REPLACEMENT OR COST OF THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT
PURCHASED FROM VEI. SOME STATES MAY NOT RECOGNIZE A DISCLAIMER
OR LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND/OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SO
THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS MAY NOT APPLY. CUSTOMER MAY ALSO HAVE
DIFFERENT AND/OR ADDITIONAL RIGHTS AND REMEDIES THAT VARY FROM
STATE TO STATE.
- Returns.
Returns of Products are subject to VEI's current return
policies, which are set forth in the catalogs, Web site, and
shipping statement, subject to any additional or lesser return
rights adopted by the manufacturer or publisher.

- Exclusive Agreement.
These Terms of Sale represent the complete and final agreement
between the Customer and VEI for the matters set forth herein,
and shall be supplemented only by the prices, quantity, and
descriptions set forth in VEI's invoice for the relevant sale.
Terms contained in Customers' purchase orders, offers to buy,
terms and conditions, and the like shall have no effect.
- General.
(a) These Terms of Sale and any transactions made under them
shall be interpreted by and be subject to the laws of the
State of Florida.
(b) In the event any section or portion of a section of
these Terms of Sale are deemed unlawful or unenforceable, that
section or portion of a section shall be stricken from the
Terms of Sale, and the remaining terms shall continue in full
force and effect.
(c) VEI shall not be responsible for damages or delays
resulting from Acts of God, and from other actions, both
governmental and otherwise, including but not limited to war,
riot, seizure, and embargo.
(d) These Terms of Sale may be modified from time to time
by VEI without notice, and are current as of the date of the
then current catalog or Web site. Please refer to the current
